Marat Kamparov, (Russian: Марат Валерьевич Кампаров; born 21 January 2000) is a Russian Greco-Roman wrestler competing in the 130 kg weight class.[2]

Career

Kamparov was born in Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia.[3] He trains under coaches David Kadilov and Marat Kishev.[1]

In 2022, he won the silver medal at the Russian U23 Championships, the bronze medal at the Poddubny Wrestling League tournament in Moscow, the bronze medal at the All-Russian Spartakiad, the silver medal at the Russian Cup, and the gold medal at the Oleg Karavaev Memorial tournament in Minsk.[4][5][6][7][8]

In 2023, he won the bronze medal at the Kutuzov Memorial in Suzdal, took silver at the Benur Pashayan international tournament in Yerevan, won the gold medal at the Russian U23 Championships in Almetyevsk, became champion of the 2023 CIS Games, won the Russian Cup, and claimed his second Oleg Karavaev Memorial title.[9][3][10][11][12][13]

In January 2024, Kamparov won the silver medal at the 2024 Russian Wrestling Championships, losing in the final to Nokhcho Labazanov.[14]

In June 2025, he won the gold medal in the 130 kg event at the 2025 Russian Wrestling Championships, becoming Russian national champion for the first time.[15]

Personal life

Kamparov is a student at the Sparta College of Physical Culture and Sport.[11]
