Nigina Sabirova (born 28 March 2005 in Urgench) is an Uzbek freestyle wrestler. She won the bronze medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games and at the 2025 U20 World Wrestling Championships.[1]

Career

Sabirova won bronze medals at the Asian U20 Championships in 2023, 2024 and 2025.[2][3]

In 2024, she won the bronze medal at the 2024 Poland Open in the 68 kg division.[4]

At the 2025 U20 World Wrestling Championships in Samokov, Bulgaria, Sabirova won the bronze medal in the women's freestyle 62 kg category. She defeated Annika Fines in the opening round, lost to Azerbaijan's Ruzanna Mammadova in the semi-finals, and then came through repechage to beat Aidana Shorayeva before defeating Turkey's Büşra Efe 8–0 in the bronze medal match.[5][6]

Later in 2025, she won the bronze medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh in the women's freestyle 62 kg event. Official results show that she defeated Mouda B. H. A. Hamdoun in the quarter-finals and then beat Aylah Mayali 11–0 in the bronze medal bout.[7][8] United World Wrestling's event coverage noted that she lost to Azerbaijan's Ruzanna Mammadova in the semi-finals before finishing on the podium.[9]
