Novichikhinsky District

Novichikhinsky District (Russian: Новичи́хинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the center of the krai. The area of the district is 3,100 square kilometers (1,200 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Novichikha.[1] Population: 9,938 (2010 census);[3] 11,558 (2002 census);[6] 11,980 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Novichikha accounts for 43.1% of the district's total population.[3]
