Originally two different songs that were respectively written by Cau Lima and the duo Cissinho e Bieco,[1] the song was part of the first album of the group, É o Tchan!, and became their biggest international success.[2][3] It was featured in the film Cinderela Baiana.[4] The song was also issued as a remix titled "É O Tchan" that was released as a single in Europe and Latin America.[5]
