São Miguel dos Milagres

São Miguel dos Milagres (Central northeastern portuguese pronunciation: [ˈsɐ̃w miˈɡɛw ˈdʊɦ miˈlɐɡɾi]) is a municipality located in the northern coast of the Brazilian state of Alagoas. Its population was 8,013 (2020)^[6] and its area is 65 km² (25 sq mi).^[7]

Etymology: Means in Brazilian Portuguese "Saint Michael of Miracles", named after Saint Michael the Archangel whose statue was found by a fisherman on a beach which had purported healing powers[1]
