Norse group
Category of satellites of Saturn
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Norse group (or family or cluster) comprises the retrograde irregular satellites of Saturn. Although they are not a single dynamically related group, they all may be collectively classed as the Norse group, though authors may instead choose not to label them as a "group" per se and refer to them simply as the retrograde satellites. They are unlikely to have a common origin and their orbital parameters are widely dispersed; more probably they are composed of a number of dynamical clusters with more homogeneous orbital and physical parameters.
