Talk:2026 IIHF World U18 Championship Division III

IIHF is having some issues documenting the stats for this format. Point 1; bottom tier should not have a relegated team but they call it a relegation round. Point 2; they are giving LUX 4 points in the relegation round, but ranking RSA ahead, I noted what must have happened. Point 3 follows that; final ranking with combined stats cannot handle a stand alone overtime, 1998 world championships statistically lists players with an extra game played when a similar thing happened. I think ignore it, but add the goal. We will see with the next one if they get better at documenting these.18abruce (talk) 14:28, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
