Effects on the kidneys
Shouldn't we mention whether the 18th-century claim (cited in the current version of this article) that asparagus is bad for the kidneys is true or not? ~2026-90336-1 (talk) 20:53, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- I don't think we need to discuss an opinion from 1735 folklore, which appears to be based mostly on the then-unknown compounds responsible for the odor of asparagus urine. There has never been any WP:MEDRS evidence about asparagus being "bad for the kidneys". With Special:Diff/1341170997, I trimmed away repetitive and unsourced discussion, and weak sources from the culture section. Zefr (talk) 21:33, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
