  • The gameplay is similar to its Wii predecessor, Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree, with the player attempting to solve puzzles in various minigames. - comparison with its predecessor is generally not helpful to the general reader.
  • There are six classes that can be selected to determine the difficulty of the exercises: Sprout, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Elite, and Super Elite - I don't really think we need to name the difficulty levels either. Just say it has six difficulty levels is enough
  • At the end of the activity, they are given a “Big Brain Brawn” score by Dr. Lobe based on their performance,[1] with the amount of points per question determined by how fast it was answered and what class the player was in - "At the end of the activity, they are given a “Big Brain Brawn” score based on their performance" is already sufficient, as how it was scored was already mentioned earlier.
  • Rankings in the Practice mode can be shared online for use in the Ghost Clash mode. Ghost Clash is an online multiplayer mode where players can compete against the ghost data of other users asynchronously - "Rankings in the Practice mode can be shared online for use in the Ghost Clash mode where players can compete against the data of other users asynchronously" Difficult for general readers to understand what's "ghost data".
  • Players can face against online users with recorded ghost data, and can search for specific Ghost IDs, similar to ghost data and Time Trials in the Mario Kart series - I would drop this whole sentence as it is fairly trivial, and comparison with Mario Kart is not needed as well.
  • As the user defeats more opponents online, they earn trophies to top the Big Brain World Ranking leaderboard - I don't think we need the name of the leaderboard. Just say they earn trophies to top the online leaderboard is sufficient.
  • I do think the gameplay spent too much time naming specific things. Just say they are given a "score" and a "grade" is sufficient.
  • If a player is underperforming compared to others, they can earn lots of points as a comeback bonus before the activity ends - "If a player is underperforming compared to others, they can earn lots of points as a comeback bonus before an activity ends"
  • noticing that the children played the minigames significantly slower and reacted to in-game sounds differently - in comparison with who? Adults?
  • The online mode also used ghost data from players instead of real-time players to reduce the competitive nature of online multiplayer - "The online mode also used asynchronous data from players to reduce the competitive nature of online multiplayer"
  • Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain was developed by Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 4, with programming and graphical assistance by indieszero - I would put this in the beginning of this paragraph.
  • and shared the release date of December 3, 2021 with Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp prior to its multiple delays - Is it really notable to mention about Advance Wars? Its delay also has no relevance to this game.
    • I merely thought I would mention it as the two games initially shared a release date, so I would argue that it is somewhat relevant to this game's release.
  • Commercials for the game were released starring Christina Aguilera,[23] as well a commercial starring Neil Patrick Harris and his family. - "Nintendo released commercials starring Christina Aguilera [23] and Neil Patrick Harris alongside his family to promote the game"
  • In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Harris described the game as a great fit for his family, stating that filming the commercial didn't require much acting since his favorite scenes involved playing the game with everyone - I felt that this venture into WP:PEACOCK territory, since he was contracted to promote the game.
    • Fair point. This has been removed. - Z-Gamer Guys (talk) 21:03, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
  • I think the reception section can be significantly trimmed because they were regurgitating itself (i.e. different critics saying essentially the same thing). The third and the fourth paragraphs are massive and a lot can be removed, especially quotes that are more or less very similar. Consider grouping similar sentiments together (e.g. Critics felt that the minigames had limited replay value and quickly became repetitive")
  • I would just get rid of the second paragraph because the sentiment here is too vague. Just a sentence saying several critics felt that it was an inferior party game when compared with other Nintendo recent output will be sufficient.
  • Critics believed the game was very similar to its predecessors,[17][15] with some believing it was not taking advantage of the Nintendo Switch’s unique features - "believe" show up consecutively, better to change one.
  • #3, #7, #15, #27, #31, #42 are checked, no copyright violation per Earwig tool.
  • It held a position among the top ten game sales in Japan for eight consecutive weeks,[45] and remained on the Famitsu sales chart for an additional seven weeks - The source only mentioned that it remained in the chart in the 8th week and the 15th week, but it doesn't mention that it remained in the chart throughout those 15th weeks.
    • This is a strange situation. I wanted to mention this since it was a fairly long time to be on the Famitsu charts, but I didn't just want to pile a bunch of sources for this one point. Previously, I used this source to support the claim, although I wasn't sure of its reliability, so I had it removed. Should I just remove this point entirely? - Z-Gamer Guys (talk) 21:04, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

That's it. A solid article for a relatively simple party game. OceanHok (talk) 09:51, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

  • @OceanHok: Unfortunately, Z-Gamer Guys's last edit was April 23. I think it might be time to close this GAN and Z-Gamer can open a new nomination when they return and resolved the issues above. Z1720 (talk) 14:55, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
