Lack of inline references

The material in this article is reproduced in a number of external sources. The "NBIAP News Report" of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (June 1994) is referred to in the text. There are two external internet links given. Most of the material is corroborated in each of the sources. Trying to assign the sources to particular lines would be a distraction. As the article is developed it might reach a state in which references for particular facts are helpful. As it is now I intend to remove the no references template if there is no objection. Merge from microbial biomining

This article has had some problems for a while, and I think in many ways the content merged here from industrial biomining is better in many ways - in particular, it's far more readable and better-sourced. That said, there's probably useful content in Biomining#Overview and Biomining#Processing_methods that isn't reflected in the current version. So I'd like to leave that content in the article for the moment, to allow useful stuff to be merged. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:18, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

Homework

Much of this article is written by students as their homework assignment. Some skepticism is warranted about the contents.--Smokefoot (talk) 14:17, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
