Inaccurate Claims
The sentence "Bleeding Cool has a reputation within the industry for breaking news and bringing to light previously unreported scandal" is blatantly untrue. Bleeding Cool's reputation is for poor writing, worse editing and a lack of focus on shows readers actually watch. Under its current leadership, it's become the laughing stock of the geek world--a British AICN. Most of its writers can't string a sentence together, and few of them have any grasp of basic grammar or punctuation. The site's reputation isn't for breaking news--it's for being broken.
- There are two citations supporting that statement. If you think we should include additional information about other aspects of its reputation, we need cited reliable sources for it. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 17:48, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
It's a Blog. He's not a Journalist.

As per the Man's Own Words, Bleeding Cool is a Blog. He's not a Journalist, and thus it is a Blog. Granted, he does call himself a Reporter, but is also on record saying "Why should I be neutral, that is boring."
My edits on this page and his bio page reflected this position.
If Wikipedia does not consider the man's own words credible and treats him as a "Journalist", then that just goes to show why people think this website is a leftist shithole that Bigs Up one side, and downplays the other. ~2026-12732-90 (talk) 20:24, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
- Furthermore, certain individuals who shall remain unnamed find it fit to harass me for my edits to reflect Johnston's own opinions on himself and his website. ~2026-12732-90 (talk) 20:39, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
- That is horrendously accusatory. Not to mention your statement "then that just goes to show why people think this website is a leftist shithole that Bigs Up one side, and downplays the other" ironically shows a bias itself.
- Nevertheless, there is no effective difference between "news site" and "blog", when the person is a journalist, why you intent to dispute that is beyond me. Plasticwonder (Cat got your tongue?) 21:28, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

- In his own words, he states he is not a Journalist. But his own words don't seem to matter to you, do they? It makes him and his worldview seem more legitimate if you say he is one, when the man himself refuses such a title. That is being dishonest on the face of it.
- And thus proves my accusatory point. ~2026-12732-90 (talk) 22:08, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

- These statements taken in how he said them shows that Johnston: Does not consider himself a Journalist, Does not consider Bleeding Cool to be anything but an Opinion Blog, and does not follow Stated Journalistic Ethical Neutrality.
- The fact that some editors cannot grasp this is not the fault of the one editing the article to reflect the man's own stated belifs.
- Facts don't care about your feelings. And the facts are the man is not a Journalist nor claims to be one. ~2026-12732-90 (talk) 22:36, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
