Colonel Van Kuijk

Tom Parker was a fictional name. We should probably stop referring to him as that.

article title

Shouldn't this article be at "Tom Parker (entrepreneur)" since the "colonel" is an (honorary) title? —Joeyconnick (talk) 16:46, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

We use the name someone is mostly known for. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 17:26, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
We don't, however, normally include titles (honorary or substantial) in article titles even when a person is commonly known with their title. There are some exceptions but I'm not sure this article qualifies for being one of them. I will raise the question on the BLP articles discussion page. Afterwriting (talk) 10:23, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

Andreas van Kuijk's first visit to the US: 1926

According to this Wikipedia article Andreas van Kuijk first came to the US in 1927. However, according to the "Holland - Amerika Lijn" passenger list he was sent back from New York to the Netherlands on March 20, 1926. He returned home to Rotterdam on the steamship "Veendam". The address he was registered at was Spanjaardstraat 110, Rotterdam. The entry in the passenger list shows the voyage was paid for by the US government. The passenger lists can be viewed online at the Rotterdam Archives. 2001:1C03:612:D500:1D98:44D8:161D:7AE9 (talk) 14:54, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
