I added the first picture, an example of a cursive alphabet, if you don't like it please comment here.— Preceding unsigned comment added by November 17, 2005 (talk) User:Sotakite (UTC)

- Thank you! Please, can someone add a picture for the "Lateinische Ausgangsschrift" and the "Schulausgangsschrift", which were in use in Germany in the 1950s and 1960s? I don't have any, but would much appreciate those! 2A01:4B00:AD1F:2D00:6A7C:DB5:41AF:3EA (talk) 18:26, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
"In a 2022 article in The Atlantic, historian and former Harvard University president Drew Gilpin Faust noted that the Gen Z never learned to read and write cursive."
This line seems like a bit of a generalisation, especially considering the article source says "Who else can’t read cursive? I asked the class. The answer: about two-thirds.", and focuses on the declining rate of cursive. I understand that "GEN Z NEVER LEARNED TO READ CURSIVE" is the article's title, but it implies that no schools teach cursive anymore. I would make a change to the article myself, but I am not a very experienced Wikipedia editor yet. Does anyone else have thoughts? AkiyamaKana (talk) 18:37, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- I agree, it is a huge and inaccurate generalization without significant evidence. Common Core is blamed for the decline of cursive, but the oldest of Gen Z would have already been 14 when it was implemented. It also is inconsistent state to state and school to school. 2600:1700:4483:4810:15BA:C303:B803:9952 (talk) 02:56, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
Upright
Upright cursive—non-slanted cursive—should be added. The Old Macintosh (talk) 10:09, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
