EAR (band)Experimental Audio ResearchExperimental Audio Research – Per WP:COMMONNAME, the group currently titled EAR (band) is most commonly referred to in reliable, independent sources as Experimental Audio Research, rather than the abbreviated form EAR. Album releases, label listings, and critical coverage consistently use the full name, making it the natural and recognizable title for the article.

Moving this page to Experimental Audio Research would align with common usage and improve clarity by avoiding ambiguity with other topics sharing the name “Ear”.

This would also free up the title Ear (band) for the separate 2020s band Ear (American band) (stylized in lowercase), which is primarily referred to simply as ear in sources. Assigning Ear (band) to that act would better reflect its common name while maintaining consistent disambiguation across similarly titled articles. • Comment: Ear (band) is distinct from EAR (band)EAR (band) on Wikipedia, and they can hypothetically direct to different topics per WP:DIFFCAPS. — BarrelProof (talk) 16:25, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
The main thing is if you go on google the group is more commonly referred to as "Experimental Audio Research". Most people are coming here thinking its the 2020s band ear that's really popular at the moment. So this has to be cleared up Aradicus (talk) 22:04, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
  • Comment This whole article is essentially WP:CFORKed at Peter Kember and could be merged there. 162 etc. (talk) 19:31, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
No update on this or what? Aradicus (talk) 04:58, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
Weak support: Merging the content into Peter Kember would make sense. But if it remains a separate article, the renaming suggestion seems appropriate. Note that this doesn't seem to really be a specific band, but rather a named themed series of releases and collaborations. Sources generally spell out the words. When they abbreviate it, they seem to usually include dots, as in "E.A.R." — BarrelProof (talk) 22:34, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
