Undiscussed move

This article was previously entitled Epithoma rerum HungaricarumEpithoma rerum Hungaricarum and was moved without discussion in this edit. Examination of reliable sources shows that this was a contentious move, and preliminary evidence may lean towards restoring the original title as the common name. Further investigation and discussion is needed. Mathglot (talk) 20:58, 6 July 2025 (UTC)

Hi Mathglot! I created myself the article, and I was thinking a lot for the name as we have many editions, spellings: Epitome/Epitoma/Epithoma + Hungarorum/Hungaricarum/Hungararum/Ungaricarum
Ungaricarum
Hungararum
Hungarorum
https://corvina.hu/en/corvina/virtual-corvinas/codlat249-en/ Hungaricarum
However I am not opposing the latest one, as this is from the Corvina Library + National Széchényi Library
@Norden1990 what do you think? OrionNimrod (talk) 21:53, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
Please review WP:Article title policy, in particular, WP:COMMONNAME. Checking results of this search, both of those spellings appear in English language reliable sources, including some of the other spellings you noted. Our task as Wikipedia editors is to discover whether there exists a title used by the majority of reliable English sources or not. If there is, we use that one, and if there isn't, then other features of WP:Article title policy come into play. Note that for the purpose of determining the COMMON NAME for an article title, only English sources apply. (If you think about it, this makes sense; otherwise our article on Germany would be entitled "DeutschlandDeutschland".) So, do your best to examine all reliable English sources for the topic, and see if there is a clear trend or not. Mathglot (talk) 22:16, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
