Lede problem
A search of the University of Arkansas does not show that they grant such a degree (ophthalmology degree). The citation may be in error. ErrorCorrection1 (talk) 22:58, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- I don't believe that degrees are granted for medical subspecialties; our article notes that practitioners normally hold a Doctor of Medicine degree and pursue specialist training in residency. Various sources indicate Boozman held an MD from UAMS and a MPH (I think "Masters in Public Health") from Tulane, and this AP report on his death notes that he was "also an eye doctor". I don't see anything supporting Hendrix College, though. The Encyclopedia of Arkansas source could just be wrong, of course - it's citing FindAGrave as a source which we don't consider reliable, and a couple of its other citations are offline.
