Talk:Estadio GNP Seguros

Too many events!

This article has way too many events listed. This place is a routine stop on a stadium-sized concert tour, and most of the listed events are just that: routine. The list should be cut down to include only events that were somehow particularly notable, such as filmed, recorded or broadcast; major one-off festival events; or attendance records.

It also has almost no mention of the very current use of the stadium for baseball, which means the article is rather incomplete and unbalanced. Need beefing up in that regard. I don't know enough in this realm to add to it, but wanted to note it for other potentially interested parties.oknazevad (talk) 04:55, 17 January 2014 (UTC)

"10 minutes away" from the airport

This is too unprecise. Is it a 10 minutes walk or 10 minutes by car or by train or by bus? --MrBurns (talk) 18:50, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Surface

Is it FieldTurf or asphalt concrete? I've watched F1 today. 213.151.215.195 (talk) 22:18, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Move page to Estadio GNP Seguros?

The name change was officially announced today, 18 June 2024. Should it be done? https://www.billboard.com/espanol/noticias/foro-sol-mexico-estadio-cambia-nombre-gnp-seguros-1235712850/ --Mr00Mister (talk) 03:44, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

Listing future concerts

User:Editor a la fuerza has included dates of concerts scheduled four months in the future.

WP:SPECULATION states: "Individual scheduled or expected future events should be included only if the event is notable and almost certain to take place". The "After Hours til Dawn Tour" is not notable, and could be cancelled.

WP:NOTPROMO also states Wikipedia is not a place for promoting evens.

The input of others is welcome. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:57, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

Hi, Magnolia677, what do you mean by "The 'After Hours til Dawn Tour' is not notable, and could be cancelled"?
Regarding the topic here, WP:SPECULATION states that "It is appropriate to report discussion and arguments about the prospects for success of future proposals and projects or whether some development will occur, if discussion is properly referenced."
Backing sources support the scheduled events listed, which are in accordance with Wikipedia's guidelines ("A schedule of future events may be appropriate if it can be verified"), similarly to WP:NOTPROMO ("All article topics must be verifiable with independent, third-party sources").
Finally, I know that Wikipedia is neither an "if that page has this, why can't this one?" Just check out the MetLife Stadium page; it includes several concerts scheduled to occur in September 2026, or the Palau Sant Jordi one, which currently comprises shows to be held in 2027. — Editor a la fuerza (talk) 16:34, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
