Greek Cypriot heritage.
Even though he was born in England, being how George Michael’s Greek Cypriot heritage was an integral part of his identity, and the appreciation he’s shown towards his Greek side throughout his career, it is in my firm belief that it would be more appropriate to describe George Michael as “Greek Cypriot-English” or “English-Greek Cypriot” in the introduction to his Wikipedia page. - George Michael continued to reside in his country of origin, so as per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography#Nationality examples; his nationality is English, and so the introduction should describe him as English. Salops (talk) 21:57, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- There is no such nationality as English. Nationality is British. There is no English passport. ~2025-35722-20 (talk) 23:22, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

In the first line of the "Early life, family and education" section, change the spelling of Greek name from "Γεώργιος Κυριάκος Παναγιώτου" to "Γεώργιος Κυριάκος Παναυιώτου". In other words, change the fifth letter of the last name from a Gamma to an Upsilon. This is assuming the Anglicized spelling of the last name "Panayiotou" is correct. The use of Gamma as the fifth letter would make the Anglicized name "Panagiotou". Analyzer23 (talk) 05:34, 20 September 2025 (UTC)
Done Looks perfectly reasonable, although I am not a Greek language speaker. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:06, 20 September 2025 (UTC)
Birthplace
Can someone with edit permission change this? East Finchley is in London, not Middlesex, and that was also true at the time of George Michael's birth. Samhills (talk) 23:28, 9 December 2025 (UTC)
Category:Second British Invasion artists
Can someone add this? He was a major part of the Second British Invasion, both with his duo Wham! and as a solo artist. ~2026-15908-7 (talk) 12:52, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
- A prose description would have to be added, citing a source. What's your source? Binksternet (talk) 14:59, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
