After effects:
My professor made a connection with cancer rates connected to the effects of radiation. Easternly winds pushed the radiation to the eastern counties of Washington, which now experience higher cancer and birth defect rates. 98.203.243.69 (talk) 15:24, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

Just posting this here for safe keeping in case anyone sees this - at least by Google, it seems like this fellow was a real person in the right approximate time and place.
