Changing term from "Legal issues" to another title
I'm proposing that the section currently named "Legal issues" be changed to something realted to his episode of psychosis, as he wasn't charged with any crime and was only detained for a short period of time. This isn't in line with similar articles who use "Legal issues" as a title to be able to reference either the person being sued by institutions or people, or the person being arrested and charged with some kind of crime, rather than a short period of detainment following an episode of psychosis. I don't think the term is used here properly and I think that it should be named something such as "Mental health issues" or "Psychosis episode". Possibly it could even be changed to "Controversies" in line with other articles covering non-charges related issues. -CIN I&II (talk) 02:35, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
Jacking it in San Diego
Why isn't being subject of the very popular parody song by South Park mentioned in this article? That is what he is most famous for. 213.31.72.240 (talk) 22:15, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

Copyedit & archived sources
Someone please take the first 'the' out of this sentence, start of second Career paragraph, it's not used in the source and calling it 'the Sudan' is antiquated and colonial. Also not clear if "after they reached" or "their caravan" is an accurate characterization, source does not specify where the attack occurred and only refers to the truck in front of theirs ambiguously.
"After Russell's group reached the Sudan their caravan was attacked by the Lord's Resistance Army, forcing a retreat to Northern Uganda."
And sources 11 and 15, at minimum, are dead links, but both are available through Wayback:

Homeless as of 2024
It seems like he fell on hard times after Kony, and became homeless ~3 years ago. Wondering if this is worth mentioning, even though it is a year old. There is no more recent news that I could locate other than a GoFundMe page from August 31, 2024 in which he describes how his life turned out since 2012. 173.73.27.239 (talk) 05:09, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
