Edit reversions / BRD
There seems to be a slow edit war going on regarding the KBE awarded to this subject, with @Ybot2021 adding "Sir" to the subject and @UtherSRGV removing it. Herewith the D part of WP:BRD.
Matters are not helped by @Ybot2021 not answering the multiple messages on their talk page here: @User talk:Ybot2021 Please do so, at some point your account may be blocked (not by me, I don't have that power, but by others).
@UtherSRGV - my reading of MOS:SIR is that it is in fact correct to have the knighthood in both the lead and Infobox, but optional elsewhere. This follows other NZ biographies, such as Kiri Te Kanawa, who is DBE, the female version of KBE and covered by the same policy. NZ would follow the UK, Canadian, Australian (etc) practice in this area. Ditto Edmund Hilary KBE, though also Garter as the more senior honour.
As a compromise, I will add in the library, where deployment of the KBE is going to be beyond dispute, and is sourced. ChrysGalley (talk) 08:31, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
