Toilet papger

I've seen Konami brand toilet paper before. No relation? Another thing, apparently Konami had the rights to Yu-Gi-Oh? That's a big coincidince,oh Konami also makes makes many other interesting health care stuff(psych).

Yeah i was reading and i was wondering why it only said "Yu-gi-oh franchise (video games)" under productions and nothing else. Konami licenses both the video games and cards. definatly needs to updated or something. EvilHom3r 20:35, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

# of emplyees

Konami Computer Entertainment Japan/Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo to Konami Merger

The Konami Computer Entertainment Japan (KCEJ) and Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo (KCET) articles are pretty much duplicates of the Konami article and therefore I believe that any information in the KCEJ and KCET articles that is not covered in the Konami article should be merged into the Konami article. I will wait for a week or two before performing the merger and I would like to hear your opinion on the matter. 573?

Are you sure about the 573? Isn't 7 "sichi" and 3 "san" in Japanese? Mr100percent 04:52, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

7 can be pronounced by either of "shichi", "nana" or "na" in Japanese. A number in Japanese has one or more pronunciations like kanji, so an abbreviation could be easily built by numbers. This manner is widely used in daily life of Japanese people for reading telephone number, license plate or things like that. 4649 (yo-ro-shi-ku, means thank you/regards) and 5963 (go-ku-ro-san, means that's tough) are some of the most popular abbreviations in Japan. Pronouncing "na" and "mi" is old style Japanese, so they are not usual and only used for making abbreviation in today. --Uiweo 04:11, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

anime doll/plushie

I have two anime doll or plushies or whatever they are called, on the tag it says (in japanese) "Tomomeki Memoriaru" (Tomomeki Memorial), I am wondering if anybody knows what this is. I think the name is "Tokimeki Memorial", not "Tomomeki Memorial". "Tokimeki Memorial" is a dating sim series made by Konami.E Wing (talk) 04:02, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Version 0.7 nomination

It would be nice to include this article in the release, because we are quite weak on "company" articles. However, I think the article needs strengthening before it can be included. I think the sourcing should be improved (very important for a corporate article), and the English could do with polishing as well, then I'd be happy to pass it for Version 0.7. Financial details

People from every country use the english Wiki, since its the most detailed one. You cant find Articles like this in the german wiki as example. I would refer to the english wiki as the international one GBK2010 (talk) 09:32, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

KOE?

The third paragraph of the article twice refers to the company as "KOE" without describing why. The context discusses Australia, so if this refers to Konami of Europe, that is unstated and unclear. Article needs some serious work.

Konami is a pretty significant piece of video gaming history. This article has various issues, and is very poorly written. I'll try and see what I can do in my spare time, much help would be appreciated...

Seconded. The "Marketing" section, for example, is almost a dadaist work of art. It just witters on at bizarre length about inconsequential trivia. An anonymous IP recently blanked the entire criticism section with the comment "Undue weight". I want to point out that the criticism section only composes a small section of the article, and said criticism is not a minority view. Konami received substantial well-documented negative press after that event. The company didn't let one of its employees go to a particular ceremony one time. Why is this of any importance, in the scope of the company's 45-year history and 5,000 employees? It's not a matter of notability. What should be included in the article is what's important to the topic. This event happened. So what? It was over in two minutes. What effect will it have on Konami in 6 months? When someone is reading this article in 20 years, why would they need to know about this event?
