Delimitation of Europe from North America, Asia, and Africa

After updating it to clear up some potentially ambiguous verbiage regarding the status of Thrace, this is the current draft:

Europe here is considered to be approximately delimited from North America by the Greenland Sea (extending west to Svalbard, Jan Mayen, and Iceland along the Fram and Denmark straits); from Asia by Thrace at the border between the Istanbul and Kocaeli Provinces, the Sea of Marmara, the Dardanelles, the Greater Caucasus Mountains, the Ural Mountains, the Ural River, the Kara Sea, and the Greek Aegean Islands; and from Africa by the Mediterranean Sea, Strait of Sicily, and Strait of Gibraltar.

One major complication I can think of is the Bosporus and Istanbul Province, which conventionally is considered the boundary between European and Asian Turkey. However, various sources may ambiguously refer to a given ethnic group's habitation of a specific province without much further specificity, and Istanbul Province spans both sides of the Bosporus. This can complicate matters significantly if using that definition. For the purpose of the ethnic groups by continent lists, I propose considering Istanbul Province to be part of both Europe and Asia. But of course, I would like to know everyone else's opinions. Jewish ethnic groups

I was browsing this page and I was suprised to see no mention of Jewish ethnic groups, despite mentions of Jewish ethnic groups of both Jews directly descending from the diaspora and convert ethnic groups in the Asian and African pages. I believe Jews should be mentioned here, as both Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews make up legitimate cultural ethnic groups with a basis and ethnogenesis in Europe (as well as roots in the Levant) which could be added here. Update, I decided to add initial information relating to Ashkenazim, Italkim, and Sephardim. This information is by no means complete and I plan to add more information later. If another would like to do this first or would like to object to this addition to the article, please let me know and we can have a discussion about it. You could also add Crimean Karaites (many of whose primary ethnic identity is 'Karaite' rather than 'Ashkenazi'), Romaniotes, Georgian Jews, Mountain Jews, etc. Ⰻⱁⰲⰰⱀⱏ (ⰳⰾ) 05:56, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
I fully agree with all of these and agree they should be added, however I do not have specialised knowledge in these groups so you could add them or maybe I could do more research off-site and add them when I have some more time in a few days or the next week or so.
