Talk:March 2009 Yemen bombings

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ambiguous title

I think the current title is unclear, for two reasons. First, there are likely to be additional attacks on tourists in Yemen during 2009 (perhaps not as notable as these two, but still...). Second, "Yemeni tourist attacks" is not clear as to whether "Yemeni" indicates the location of the attack or the nationality of the tourists. Therefore, I propose renaming this article to a title that references the city in which the attacks took place or one of the following: March 2009 attacks on tourists in Yemen or 2009 attacks on South Korean tourists in Yemen. 2009 Yemeni tourist attacksMarch 2009 Yemen bombings – As noted in the discussion above, the current title implies that Yemeni tourists were the victims of the attacks, not South Koreans. Furthermore, tourists were only the target of the first attack, not the second one. Hsnkn (talk) 21:00, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
