Arthur Powell
I am aware that the recently deceased Arthur Powell, was an owner of the Mill at some time in it's latter years of commercial use. He had a seed business, was highly regarded in the district particularly at Maldon Methodist Church where he was active and throughout the Chelmsford Circuit as a lay Preacher for over half a century, Tiptree United Reformed Church where he was a Sunday School Superintendent for at least forty years within my personal knowledge into the 1980's and Tiptree Choral Society of which he was a founder member. He died in 2010 at age 101 years having been predeceased by his wife Thelma over a decade earlier. Article in Local Paper at time of his 100th birthday.Stranger on the shore (talk) 09:21, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
