• The five-storey building, alongside the offices, lecture hall, and mezzanine, was among the few areas to receive air-conditioning Ngl the phrasing is a bit weird. I'm presuming that the offices, lecture hall, and mezzanine were the only areas in the building to be air-conditioned, along with the library itself being one of the few areas in Singapore to be air-conditioned at the time. I think the former (the areas air-conditioned in the library) can be merged with the air-conditioning plant, which served the offices, lecture hall, and mezzanine.
