"Military Operation" terminology
Where is the source calling this plan a military operation? WSJ says no US ships will escort vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, and that "Project Freedom" is a rehashing of previous Trump rhetoric encouraging ships to cross the strait on their own: https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/trump-says-u-s-will-guide-stranded-ships-through-strait-of-hormuz-09e0d7cf?mod=hp_lead_pos1 ~2026-24262-22 (talk) 22:52, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

Description of suggested change:
I cannot find, in the cited sources or elsewhere, any countries other than the US itself participating in this military operation. Lead should be rephrased to reflect reality. WP:LEAD
Diff:
| − | Operation Project Freedom is a United States | + | Operation Project Freedom is a United States military operation launched in May 2026 to respond to Iranian attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. |
