Hey, blindlynx. Thanks for pinging me. I'll try to explain. "Crimean Tatars" is repeated explicitly. Deportation is swapped for ethnic cleansing and cultural genocide–which is pretty obviously what deportation of an ethnic group is. That makes the sentence tautological and rather bloated. Sorry but unfortunately while it may be obvious to us that ethnic deportation is genocide it serves readers more to be explicit about especially given how much genocide denial is all over the place lately —blindlynx 21:20, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
