Maintenance template removal

Tag has been added stating that an insider has been making changes. Nobody started a discussion about this. We can discuss it here, and if that is not the case, the tag can be removed. Grimmjow0030 (talk) 18:06, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

Use of content from media outlets

Hey Grimmjow0030, do you want to give a rationale for this? As far as I can see the recent commentary around their use of content from media outlets is the most attention they've received in reliable sources to date. Endwise (talk) 23:32, 20 June 2024 (UTC)

Hey @Endwise, sorry for the late reply, I undid your edit by mistake. I thought I undid another edit just below your edit (this) which seemed to show some incorrect/unofficial information about AI models. Your edit is all good, once again, I apologise for not being careful. Thanks! Grimmjow0030 (talk) 18:00, 15 July 2024 (UTC)

منهج البحث العلمي وأسلوب العلمي 41.201.81.250 (talk) 18:32, 25 October 2024 (UTC)

If this is relevant to this article, what does it mean in ENGLISH? This is the ENGLISH wp.

I asked Perplexity, it answered:
The phrase "عايزة أسئلة دراسات للصف الاول الاعدادي الوحدة الاولى" translates to "I want study questions for the first grade of middle school, unit one" in English.
and
The phrase "منهج البحث العلمي وأسلوب العلمي" translates to "Scientific Research Methodology and Scientific Style" in English.
Breakdown of the Translation:
منهج البحث العلمي: This translates to "Scientific Research Methodology," referring to the systematic approach used in scientific inquiry.
أسلوب العلمي: This translates to "Scientific Style," which pertains to the manner or method of presenting scientific research and findings.

In-house LLMs

Perplexity has abandoned developing their own in-house LLMs. This can be confirmed by their twitter posts. Sorry, I don't have a direct source at the moment. The article should be updated to reflect this.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.72.142.125 (talk) 07:13, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

Copilot, meaning

In Perplexity AI #Functionality / 2nd para / the 1st sentence reads:

"Perplexity's paid variant, the "Pro" mode (formerly Copilot), asks the user clarifying questions to refine queries."
Which definition of Co-pilot (disambiguation) is meant?

Or was 'Copilot' a name already used by 'Perplexity'?

Cloudflare's blog post

Cloudflare just announced that Perplexity is using stealth, undeclared crawlers to evade website no-crawl directives. I think we should add this to the article. Nemoralis (talk) 21:41, 4 August 2025 (UTC)

If you need a RS for this rather than just CloudFlare's blog post, Ars Technica has an article at

RS? I’m not familiar with the abbreviation, but I agree it should be added as at least an addendum or a broadening of the Wired Report. I think it could be considered systematic behaviour, deserving of its own section. Alternatively, it could be moved under “Controversies”. 212.132.164.60 (talk) 08:38, 5 August 2025 (UTC)
RS as in [unreliable source?] is a Reliable Source. Mansuetus (talk) 09:12, 5 August 2025 (UTC)

Research

This study looks at how different learning styles affect the school performance of high school or college students. It uses the VARK model, which includes Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic learning styles. The goal is to find out if students who prefer certain styles do better in school based on their grades, GPA, or test scores over one semester.

The study only includes a small group of students, so the results may not apply to everyone. It uses surveys to find out the students' learning styles, but these answers may not always be correct. The study also does not look at other things that can affect grades, like family income, good teachers, or access to learning tools. It only covers one semester and treats learning styles as if they never change, even though students can learn in more than one way or change how they learn over time. 120.28.178.150 (talk) 12:08, 3 August 2025 (UTC)
