I've expanded the article (per the tag at the top which appropriately reflected that the article only focused on the United States) to include separate sections on the United States, Spain, Germany, Scandinavian countries, and Japan.
This could use some more expansion because the systems for prison furloughs vary greatly from country to country.
This is also an important part of rehabilitation and recidivism efforts around the globe - I believe Wikipedia would be well-served by making this a higher priority. Friednoah (talk) 14:33, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
