One big advert for the RAA
This article reads like one big advert for the RAA. Most of the article comes straight from the RAA website. Ozdaren (talk) 11:59, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

One big advert for the RAA - 14 years on
Seems this article still suffers from the same issues noted in 2011. A ton of edit history since then but only a few instances where the biased/advertising tone and content were addressed.
This article can definitely be fixed and so shouldn't be nuked. I've just made a few changes but it definitely isn't there yet. 420weetbix (talk) 00:28, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- i agree, i just deleted a few paragraphs that seemed to be mostly advertising lines/ extra detail already in article Kregan88 (talk) 11:33, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- I went through and made a lotta changes to the post 1979 section, added some more citations and removed a few irrelevant sections - I don't think the changes made to their website are really that important lmoa. Hopefully it reads a bit better now, I did my best to remove more flowery language too. Though Adelaide AZ, which I've cited, seems to be fairly willing to be flowery, so I'm unsure how good of a source it is.
- I found that RAA has a lot of articles on their website, not a lot about history but there's some stuff there, might be worth peeping that for some more history, though again idk how much I'd trust it since it also seems to be fairly flowery and it's coming directly from them. Don't wanna feed into the issue Bogwife posted about
- I've not edited a ton of stuff on Wikipedia before though, def still finding my feet, yk? If any of the stuff I've changed in that section isn't looking so hot, feel free to revert any of my changes lmoa ~~~~ SenShark (talk) 10:09, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
Remove citation with no evidence?
I checked the source regarding the name change and the URL (raa.com/our-story) links to a page with history but no mention of the name change or date. Shall I remove the citation or look through the rest of the webpage to see if the article is listed somewhere I am not seeing it? - I have also noticed several paragraphs that have citations that are too closely aligned to the RAA (advertising material), or paragraphs which are missing citations. I think it would be best to remove the citation, and mark is as citation needed, or find another source which supports the claim, and cite that source. I'm still new to Wikipedia so I'm not entirely sure. Cousdev (talk) 11:01, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
