Proposal: Remove Notable Cases Section

The notable cases section strikes me as mostly trivia, and neither necessary to the article nor helpful to understanding shoplifting. Also, there is no apparent measure of what makes a case noteworthy beyond whether the person involved is famous, a criterion that of itself seems to either make for an arbitrarily selected short list of incidents or an extremely long list. Are there any thoughts on this proposal? Arllaw (talk) 00:37, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
I agree. I think any "notable cases" should be described only if they are remarkable and noteworthy instances of the crime, not otherwise unremarkable instances of the crime that are notable because the perpetrator was famous. Nothing here qualifies. WP Ludicer (talk) 01:12, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
@Arllaw and WP Ludicer: I totally agree. this should have been removed long ago. JBW (talk) 19:00, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
Thanks. I have taken the liberty of removing the section. Arllaw (talk) 22:38, 13 June 2023 (UTC)

Caption under the photo of security tags

The image has been rotated and the caption appears to now be incorrect with the items oriented left to right. I don't know what the third tag type is. -- J7n (talk) 17:44, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
