Pretty Serious Omission

"Important Figures" is missing one fairly important figure.....the Sultan. Nowhere on this page is he mentioned by name. I had to look this up elsewhere. Its Sultan Ahmed III, by the way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.142.167.24 (talk) 02:24, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Hmm, should this be Tulip Era? User:Grenavitar] signed in as 129.2.17.155 05:27, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

nope, definitely "Tulip period" - see many recognised texts on the subject - passerby scholar

Holland and tulip

It is funny to note that tulip was sent to Holland from Turkey by Ogier Ghiselin de Busbecq in the 16th century and imported to Turkey from Holland just 160 yeras later . Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 18:51, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

Illustration

Are we sure the drawing is of a tulip? It certainly looks nothing like a modern tulip -- neither foliage, nor blossom, nor proportions seem right. I recommend using a more obvious tulip drawing from that period. 134.243.204.95 (talk) 15:00, 10 March 2011 (UTC)samm
