Redone
Have redone it with some more sources. If there is other stuff wrong, please tell me before you delete it so I can try & change it! Thanks dottydotdot (talk) 10:57, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Also can someone make the title have a capital D so it's TweetDeck? dottydotdot (talk) 11:17, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Infobox
I added an infobox, but they haven't provided a whole lotta informat<script type="text/javascript" src="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Omegatron/monobook.js/addlink.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>ion, so there's a lot of <script type="text/javascript" src="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Omegatron/monobook.js/addlink.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>unknown stuff in there. Can someone who knows about this product please go through the box and make sure its factually correct. Cheers. Greggers (t • c) 11:58, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Logo
The logo is on the Tweetdeck website here: but are we allowed to use it? & how do you do it? dottydotdot (talk) 15:31, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
3rd party services
The article mentions 3rd party services like twitscoop, stocktwits etc. Maybe it would be useful to create the corresponding wikipedia pages ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.140.114.176 (talk) 21:09, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
- Only if they're notable enough. Never create articles for the sake of it or because they appear somewhere else. But if the subject deserves it (ie is notable, verifiable etc) then an article will undoubtedly appear by its own accord. Greg Tyler (t • c) 08:56, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
iPhone OS?
I added that it's now on the iPhone OS, but someone please add then into the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Undertakerhbk588 (talk • contribs) 22:34, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Not working on Vista?
I saw this in the article, near UserVoice: "although the program itself is virtually undownloadable by Vista users." First of all UserVoice is web-based and can therefore not be downloaded, and TweetDeck works fine on Vista. I was afraid to get it out though, since this was added quite some edits ago. Thoughts? arienh4(Talk) 21:17, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Purchase price
“On May 25, 2011, TweetDeck was bought by Twitter with a rumored $40 – $50 million purchase price including both cash and Twitter stock.”
What does that mean, “including both cash and Twitter stock”? --Adam Brody (talk) 18:59, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
- Some cash, plus some shares in the company (i.e. Twitter). Sometimes companies use their shares to pay for assets they purchase. Maksym Kozub (talk) 08:54, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
Version number
What is the deal with version-numbers of the products? 1.5.3 is new? 0.38.3 is new? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.121.137.114 (talk) 12:11, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
TweetDeck or Tweetdeck
Original name was TweetDeck, but there are times when Tweetdeck (without CAP D) is used. Someone should clarify the difference or edit out the misteak. Bellagio99 (talk) 03:19, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Meaning of "deck" in name
Mention exactly which of Deck (disambiguation) the name comes from. I.e., deck (cards), or cockpit or observation deck... Jidanni (talk) 20:50, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
Move to X Pro?

The result of the move request was: not moved. (non-admin closure) RodRabelo7 (talk) 02:52, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
TweetDeck → X Pro – This was requested by another user on the TweetDeck article talk page, because the service has been renamed to X Pro. The page 'X Pro' already exists as a redirect to TweetDeck and so would need to be deleted before this move can take place. Onyxqk (talk) 21:18, 4 September 2024 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). Onyxqk (talk) 22:18, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose, because who the hell calls this X Pro? Plus, these are most definitely two different products. LilianaUwU (talk / contributions) 01:50, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- It looks like over the past twelve months "X Pro" is significantly more searched than "TweetDeck" on Google, although am aware that relative popularity on Google searches does not justify a name change in itself: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=%2Fm%2F05q7b3y,X%20Pro&hl=en
- The most recent news article was able to find refers to the product as "X Pro" although it explains that the product was formerly called TweetDeck: https://techcrunch.com/2023/08/15/x-formerly-twitter-makes-x-pro-formerly-tweetdeck-a-subscriber-only-product/ Onyxqk (talk) 02:33, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Over the past 12 months, but did you consider over the past 12 years? LilianaUwU (talk / contributions) 02:40, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- It looks like X Pro, without quotation marks to narrow it down, was always a more popular search than TweetDeck prior to either TweetDeck or X Pro the product existing: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=%2Fm%2F05q7b3y,X%20Pro&hl=en
- Since that's not a valid comparison, narrowed the comparison by adding quotation marks around the term "X Pro": https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=%2Fm%2F05q7b3y,%22X%20Pro%22&hl=en
- When that is done, TweetDeck initially is the more popular term, but X Pro overtakes it in the past couple years. That seems to indicate usage has shifted from searching for TweetDeck to searching for X Pro. Onyxqk (talk) 02:49, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Except 'x pro' over took 'tweet deck' five years before tweetdeck got re-branded to x pro something else is going on here —blindlynx 14:36, 5 September 2024 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: not moved. – robertsky (talk) 00:25, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
TweetDeck → X Pro – The previous closed move request recommends referring to the outcome of X (social network)'s move request. The article has now moved and this service changed its name to X Pro at the same time. UltrasonicMadness (talk) 12:44, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Comment I would like to see what reliable sources say, with the full understanding that there will likely be far fewer sources talking specifically about this service. If there’s not much at all, that would seem to advise moving it in conjunction with the move to X (social network). However, if sources continue to refer to TweetDeck when talking about the service in the present day, then that would indicate that this article should remain “TweetDeck” notwithstanding the corresponding change for the parent platform. Dustinscottc (talk) 18:39, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
- I just quickly looked this up, and the last article from a WP:GREL source (at WP:RSPS) that references "TweetDeck" seems to be this one (from The Verge, 2024-05-30).
- I sadly wasn't able to quickly find a news article referencing the actual X Pro in the short time I searched as all that appeared seemed to be articles about tech products (where including "X Pro" in the model name seems to be very popular).
- This all could mean that the subject is not known enough to determine a WP:COMMONNAME, but it could also just mean that my google skills are not that good. What this does is that "TweetDeck" has not been been used since May 2024. Just an observation. ~2026-12020-63 (talk) 20:33, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
- I have found some WP:RS which use the new name , , , UltrasonicMadness (talk) 22:23, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
- Support split as per PK-WIKI.
Support. As I found here, "TweetDeck" does not appear to have been in use by RS since May 2024. This and X (social network)'s move combined leads me to believe that if there is a clearly more appropriate name (which is difficult to determine in itself), it is probably "X Pro". I honestly personally believe the move was not right, but even before the move it would still have been a (weak) support based on no RS using "TweetDeck" since a little less than two years ago. Now that the move has occurred, this page's move is definitely important for WP:CONSISTENCY.~2026-12020-63 (talk) 20:40, 27 February 2026 (UTC) - Oppose. TweetDeck should essentially be a historical, past tense article. The notable thing about TweetDeck was that it was a standalone app developed by a separate company. It was then acquired by Twitter, the apps discontinued, then rebranded by X. But I don't think the in-browser TweetDeck tools or today's X Pro are especially notable. If you tried to create X Pro today it would probably be merged into X (social network) or X Premium as just another feature of paid X. The notable thing about TweetDeck was the app/culture in the early 2010s... and the best title for that article is TweetDeck. PK-WIKI (talk) 21:04, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose. As one of the main proponents of the Twitter article move, TweetDeck is what is used in both reliable sources and parlance. OmegaAOLtalk? 13:08, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
