The URL wasn't exactly right, but it's fixed now. Clarinetguy097 (talk) 00:48, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

Cricket Max

@Stephen C Taylor I don't think we need anything more than a brief mention of Cricket Max : any details about that form of cricket is best explained in the other article. The section heading should not include it either. Your text is also full of spelling mistakes, grammar errors and is very rambling. Please let's not turn this into an edit war. Spike 'em (talk) 13:51, 4 March 2026 (UTC)

for example, this sentence should be split into at least 3 (though I'd remove most of it anyway) The format differed from current Twenty20 cricket as each team had two separate innings (as can often occur in first-class domestic and test cricket) albeit that unlike first-class games these innings would be limited to 10 overs each, and a number of other rules innovations including specially designated areas of the field of play known as Max Zones where the number runs would score would be doubled if they were able to place a scoring shot inside the designated zones. in both fdomestically and on an unofficial home international basis has typos and makes no sense grammatically. Please take more care with what you write. Spike 'em (talk) 14:11, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
I respectfully disagree. Details on this can be explored short-form and this article . Cricket Max is an early prototype version of T20 really so the mention of it is suitable in my opinion for inclusion in this article. Stephen C Taylor (talk) 15:00, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
A brief mention is fine but we don't need to detail every single rule innovation, particularly those not used in Twenty20 cricket. The whole reason for linking articles is so that readers can explore more about the subject if they so desire, removing the need to bloat the linking page. Spike 'em (talk) 15:05, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
The Origins section is about the history of the T20 format. Later developments / things inspired by T20 could go in a different section if really desired. Spike 'em (talk) 18:13, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
In fact, there is already a section saying T20's success has also inspired the invention of even shorter formats, such as T10 cricket and 100-ball cricket in the Impact section. Spike 'em (talk) 18:15, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
