Talk:Walton Castle, Suffolk

The article current asserts that when the castle was dismantled in 1175 the materials were used in the construction of Orford Castle. This is referenced to the Historic England Research Records. While this kind of behaviour is plausible (and happened at other sites such as Dolbadarn and Caernarfon) it is less clear whether that happened here. The main issue is that the expenditure in the Pipe Roll indicate construction was complete, or nearly, at Orford c. 1173. It would be interesting to track where this come from.
