The Technical Challenge
The article quotes Iwao as the source of the claim that the technical challenge is in providing an environment for efficient execution. This is quite silly. An algorithm requires both a low theoretical complexity and some machine that can execute it efficiently. Iwao's claim implies that y-cruncher is theoretically optimal, it's not.
If you read Iwao's article it's clear why she would say this. It is an advertisement for Google Cloud services, which essentially provides hardware execution for rent. JSory (talk) 12:42, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
