The Coat & Badge, Putney

The pub is on the northern side of Lacy Road at number 8, on the corner with Walker's Place,^[1] and there is an outdoor garden.^[2]

The pub dates from the Edwardian era,^[3] it was recorded at Coopers Lane^[4] which is now Lacy Road.^[5] The name is after Doggett's Coat and Badge, the oldest rowing race in the world,^[6] started by Irish comedian Thomas Doggett^[7] and now run by the Watermen's Company.^[8]
