Things I Didn't Throw Out (Polish: Rzeczy, których nie wyrzuciłem) is a 2017 Polish essay collection and memoir by Polish writer and graphic designer Marcin Wicha.
The book won the Nike Literary Award in 2018,[1] and it was also associated with major Polish literary honours including the Paszport Polityki for literature and the Witold Gombrowicz Literary Award.[2]
Review and reception
Reviewing the English translation, The Arts Desk described the book as making sense of personal and political history through the material remnants of everyday life.[3]
The Big Issue characterised the memoir as both humorous and serious in its portrait of Wicha's mother and the social history surrounding her life.[4]
