I've been on wikipedia since 2004 but never made a user page, so I asked an LLM to generate one for me as a starting point, this will evolve and be edited more by me over time -Mike :

About
I'm a software engineer, pilot, and maker based in Brooklyn, New York. I've been editing Wikipedia since around 2004 — mostly fixing things that bug me and occasionally creating stubs for topics that deserve to exist.
My edits tend to follow whatever I'm curious about at the moment, which means they range from Apollo guidance computers to film photography to Japanese rope arts. I'm a firm believer that Wikipedia is at its best when editors care deeply about accuracy in their areas of expertise, even on obscure topics.
Interests
- Aviation — private pilot (ASEL), amateur radio (technician), currently building an airplane
- Vintage computing — 6502, RISC-V, TRS-80, breadboard computers
- Software engineering — Swift/iOS, systems programming, embedded electronics
- Space history — particularly the Apollo program and its software
- Star Trek DS9 — favorite character: Jadzia Dax
- Music — Cliff Martinez, Pink Floyd, Aphex Twin
- Photography — analog and digital
- Burning Man community — Black Rock Ranger
Articles I've created
- Cliff Martinez (~2004)
- TRS-80 Model 200 (2015)
- Anytype (2026)
Editing philosophy
I try to follow Wikipedia's processes and defer to more experienced editors when I'm out of my depth. I'd rather lose an edit war gracefully and learn something than win it badly. See: my discussion about Apollo 10's landing software.
