The main problem with Battle of Opis and friends seems to be that User:Ariobarza has very strong opinions, very bad understanding of sourcing, and gets angry when people don't agree with him.

There's also Nepaheshgar (talk · contribs) and Khoikhoi (talk · contribs) picking a fight with ChrisO (talk · contribs), but they were quiet while Ariobarza was on a rampage.

  • 2008-10-26 03:57: Ariobarza creates Battle of the Tigris, an OR-fork of Battle of Opis
  • 2008-10-27 10:08: Doug Weller creates Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Battle of the Tigris
  • 2008-10-28 20:18: User:ChrisO takes Ariobarza's behaviour to WP:AN/I.
  • 2008-10-30 08:35: I decide that he's made enough threats/incivility, and block him for a week.
  • 2008-10-30 19:42: He starts editing from User:153.18.20.160, whch may be a proxy. no-more-funn.at moensted.dk lists it.
  • 2008-10-30 20:46: His edits to Battle of the Tigris get reverted by User:Folantin
  • 2008-10-30 21:28: ChrisO permblocks the proxy.
  • 03:36, October 31, 2008: Edits Battle of Mylasa from User:99.49.15.253 (also his own and ChrisO's talk pages)
  • 08:48, October 31, 2008: I block the IP.
  • 14:59, October 31, 2008: User:Jehochman lengthens block to indefinite.
  • 20:35, November 6, 2008: User:Jehochman unblocks the account for good faith.
  • 10:52, November 11, 2008: I block the account for 24 hours for incivility.
  • 21:01, December 20, 2008:User:JzG blocks the account indefinitely
