Particularly in deletion and move discussions, it's occasionally suggested that a speedy close is appropriate. And it may be.
If a discussion has no hope of reaching consensus, or consensus is already clear, then the snowball clause applies. We should move on and not waste time.
But note that the objective here is to save time. If a move for example is speedily closed, and then goes to move review, we've just wasted time rather than saving it.
And note also that in any close, someone needs to assess consensus. There's a danger that in doing so they're casting a supervote, and again the likely result is a waste of time.
