Zeus received his username BlearyZeus after receiving a Gamertag on Xbox. He had started playing Xbox when custom video game usernames were already allowed, but decided to stick with the username that Xbox gave him because he liked it.

Zeus grew up in Oklahoma, but currently lives in California. In regards to his upbringing, he says, "I consider myself to be a modern version of an Okie, as my family moved from California to Oklahoma for better opportunities. But we did this in the 21st century."

Zeus learned about the French Revolution in tenth grade, which he attests to having had a significant influence on his passion for history.

Zeus has lived in multiple cities in California since moving there. His favorite city is Los Angeles.

Zeus studied the social sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). A lot of his editing interests involve topics such as geography and history.

Zeus worked in a cultural exchange program between the United States and Russia when he was in college. After the experience, he said, "I have since developed a strong fascination with Russia, particularly its history and culture. This has inspired me to hopefully become more involved with contributing to articles about Russia on Wikipedia."

Zeus remains relatively private about most of his professional career, but has mentioned being able to travel a lot due to his career. Following graduation, he briefly lived in Baltimore, Maryland. He will work in Santa Cruz for the summer of 2026.

Zeus likes to work wherever he can, but one of his primary goals at the moment is translating motorsports articles for Tagalog Wikipedia. He is responsible for creating the Tagalog article on Sergio Pérez. He plans to create more articles related to F1 on Tagalog Wikipedia.
