Welcome

OOZE (pronounced ooze) aims to be the most powerful content moderation tool available for Wikimedia projects.

Obligatory 2025 AI feature: Use Wikimedia Liftwing to see if you should double check an editors contributions

About

OOZE uses Wikimedia's design system to ensure continuity. This is the second content moderation user script I have created - the first being the widely used (albeit outdated) RedWarn. OOZEs is everything I've learnt from developing RedWarn, and much more, with admin and other features.

Setup

You will benefit from all the features of OOZE on the latest version of Chrome, or a Chromium based browser. OOZE does work fine on Safari and Firefox, but you might miss some performance enhancements.

UBlock Origin Users

Even if you've disabled UBlock Origin for Wikimedia sites, to benefit from further performance enhancements, you need to go to your UBlock settings and uncheck "Disable pre-fetching (to prevent any connection for blocked network requests)"

Thanks

OOZE would not be possible without the fantastic Ultraviolet project, who have laid a large amount of technical groundwork for using TypeScript in MediaWiki. It also would not have been possible without work from the Wikimedia design teams
