Hiya!

I love understanding and loathe ignorance, and feel strongly that knowledge should be free and accessible.

I see clear evidence that the wisdom of the crowd exists and is flourishing on the web, and actively support open source and community projects including Wikipedia.

I do what I can to help but will perhaps never be as prolific or as accurate an editor as ClueBot, but then what human could be?

There are currently 7,156,673 articles on the English Wikipedia, curated by 52,049,737 registered and a whole bunch of unregistered Wikipedians!

My first username on Wikipedia was "EddyFragment" (redirected here). When I changed my name, I didn't think to change my name, so now have accidentally got two names!

My timezone

As a UK resident, my time zone is UTC+01:00 during BST, and GMT the rest of the time. I am however naturally nocturnal so my active times would be typically more inline with a diurnal person living in, say, Caracas. Hope that helps 😜

My sandbox

Find links to stuff I've made or am working on, including user scripts.

Transcluded from my sandbox

My subpages

Including

My CSS and JavaScript

  • Developed for the Vector (legacy/2010 not 2022) skin; may not work well or at all for others
  • May conflict with other user scripts, stylesheets or Gadgets
  • Some do conflict with MediaWiki "Web Fonts"

Currently in use and reliable

A custom interface

  • navigationUI.js – compressed navigation user interface with expanded content and a sticky header since 2016 😜

Deprecated

  • unwatchList.js – unwatch (and rewatch if you make a mistake) pages directly while viewing changes to your watchlist
    • Functionality built into preferences now; apply some CSS and it's not bad; probably more efficient

On the todo list

Being evaluated and tested

  • tumbleweeds

Not fully fleshed out

Possibly working; definitely nasty

  • globalWatchlist.js – watchlists from all projects linked to Watchlist; needs streamlining

Avoid like the plague!

My templates

Deprecated

My modules

I only learned Lua for its use on Wikipedia, and wouldn't waste energy with it otherwise.

Semi complete

Safe space for testing because messing about for days or weeks at a time in other Module's sandboxes is likely to be bothersome to other editors.

Some good stuff I like
