User:Fork99/XfD log
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a log of all deletion discussion nominations made by this user using Twinkle's XfD module.
If you no longer wish to keep this log, you can turn it off using the preferences panel, and nominate this page for speedy deletion under CSD U1.
NOTE: Any notes made in square brackets for a particular entry indicates that it was manually added to this log for one reason or another. There are many requested moves I have made without using Twinkle, I'll probably add them eventually to this list for completeness.

- Rail Merger: nominated at RfD; Target: MTR (notified); notified KX675 (talk · contribs) 09:18, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Seems really vague and ambiguous, could refer to any sort of merge between anything rail/train related, but especially in relation to company merges. No incoming links either.
- Ferry Pier Terminus: nominated at RfD; Target: Tuen Mun Ferry Pier stop (notified); notified KX675 (talk · contribs) 23:31, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: While I think this title is a bit vague/ambiguous, apparently it was the historic name for the article it currently points to. When I first saw this, I thought of San Francisco Ferry Building. Could probably refer to other ferry terminals as well. Not too sure what to do, possibly a hatnote or otherwise on the target page to fix the ambiguity? Or dab page?
- Olveston House, Montserrat: nominated at RfD; Target: Salem, Montserrat (notified); notified Laterthanyouthink (talk · contribs) 08:13, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Unsure what to do here. The current target page has no mention of the redirect name. However, a village called Olveston, Montserrat has information on the Olveston House. HOWEVER, Olveston House is actually physically located in Salem, Montserrat according to information on the page at Olveston, Montserrat. If this is accurate, I propose retargeting to Salem, Montserrat and the relevant information from Olveston, Montserrat moved over to Salem, Montserrat.
- Welsh valleys: nominated at RfD; Target: South Wales Valleys (notified manually); notified Vpab15 (talk · contribs) 17:08, 30 August 2023 (UTC) [used Page Curation tool instead of Twinkle]
- Reason: While I’m not familiar with Welsh geography, it does seem to be the primary topic for valleys in Wales. However, there may be other less notable valleys in Wales, from a cursory search, Conwy Valley is an existing redirect to another valley. If so, disambiguation may be needed.
- English bias: nominated at RfD; Target: Ethnocentrism (notified); notified CactiStaccingCrane (talk · contribs) 17:20, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Seems vague and ambiguous. Could this refer to Ethnocentrism per the redirect’s creator, or something else like an English language bias of sorts? Google doesn’t really help either with defining this. No incoming links, and I propose deletion unless a better target can be found.
September 2023
- Ya like jazz?: nominated at RfD; Target: Bee Movie (notified); notified I am RedoStone (talk · contribs) 22:45, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Previously deleted under Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2022 September 23#Ya like jazz? and still not mentioned at target.
- Visa affair: nominated at RfD; Target: Polish cash-for-visa scandal (notified); notified Jalapeño (talk · contribs) 22:51, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Seems vague and ambiguous. A Google search doesn't yield any results for this particular target's scandal that's apparently been in the news recently. I propose deletion unless a better target can be found.
- Visa scandal: nominated at RfD; Target: Polish cash-for-visa scandal (notified); notified Jalapeño (talk · contribs) 23:08, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Seems vague and ambiguous as ‘Visa scandal’ isn't specific to Poland and/or the target. However, a Google search for this term does yield results for this Polish scandal that's apparently been in the news recently, but when I scrolled further, I also found a result for an Australian related news article, which had nothing to do with the target article's scandal in question.
October 2023
- Kaohsiung KiloMetro: nominated at RfD; Target: Kaohsiung Metro (notified); notified Kenricklenno2001 (talk · contribs) 08:14, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Appears to be a nonsensical name for the target, a Google search also doesn't reveal any other possible meaning.
- KiloMetro SNCF: nominated at RfD; Target: SNCF (notified); notified Kenricklenno2001 (talk · contribs) 08:15, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Appears to be a nonsensical name for the target, a Google search also doesn't reveal any other possible meaning.
- Great Train Race: nominated at RfD; Target: Tom Thumb (locomotive) (notified); notified MB (talk · contribs) 23:36, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Not explicitly mentioned at target by this name. However, this exact name could also refer to several other events around the world, including from the Hunter Valley Steamfest and Don River Railway . There might be more examples if you do a Google search.
November 2023
- Diesel train: nominated at RfD; Target: Diesel locomotive (notified); notified Saccharomyces (talk · contribs) 09:42, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Proposing a set index or disambiguation page as this could also refer to diesel multiple unit; in line with electric train.
- Template:Kippa-Ring railway line: nominated at TfD; notified Wilsteady (talk · contribs) 09:55, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This template, named after the terminus of the railway line in question, is mostly a duplicate of Template:Redcliffe Peninsula railway line, which exists at the same and correct name of the Redcliffe Peninsula railway line. However, this template does show adjacent railway lines in greater detail than the other template, but I think it's unnecessary. No article transclusions either. I still propose deletion as it's redundant.
- Wikipedia:Phan The Anh (Travel Blogger): nominated at RfD; Target: Draft:Phan The Anh (Travel Blogger) 07:43, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Created in error by original creator who moved a seemingly self-promotional draft article in userspace to Wikipedia namespace. I then moved it to draftspace, however it left a redirect. I don't think WP:CSD#R2 applies here because it only applies to redirects from the main namespace.
March 2024
- Gladiators – Heroes of the Colosseum: nominated at AfD; notified Marknaddjab (talk · contribs) 08:26, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: WP:EVENT/WP:GNG concerns: fairly run-of-the-mill type of temporary travelling museum exhibition. Most relevant online sources I've found are primary sources (museums/exhibition organiser) or opinion pieces largely from Nine Entertainment (WP:RSEDITORIAL, WP:BOMBARDMENT).
May 2024
- Головна сторінка: nominated at RfD; Target: Main Page (notified); notified VollyM (talk · contribs) 11:54, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: I originally WP:G4'd this as this has been previously discussed and deleted at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2015 August 6#Redirects to Main Page, however the creator contested this stating
This redirect created for users who trying switch language from Ukrainian to English. Ther always just remove //uk. and input //en. This redirect allow to users going to Main Page dirrectly from Main page of Ukrainian Wiki
andWe, in the Ukrainian-language Wikipedia, have a similar redirection, and if you erase en and write uk, the user will be redirected to the main page accordingly.
- Reason: I originally WP:G4'd this as this has been previously discussed and deleted at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2015 August 6#Redirects to Main Page, however the creator contested this stating
July 2024
- Category:Joondalup line: nominated at CfDS (C2D); New name: Category:Yanchep line 22:19, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Consistency with Yanchep line after RM from Joondalup line.
- Minister for Cities: nominated at RfD; Target: Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government (notified); notified Marcnut1996 (talk · contribs) 02:29, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Not sure if this is the best target as Minister for Cities (Australia) exists - also not sure if that is the best title for that article either. I'm not familiar with the recent political cabinet reshuffling so there might be content forking between the current target and Minister for Cities (Australia).
December 2024
- Market Square Shopping Centre (Victoria): nominated at RM/TR; New name: Market Square Shopping Centre 06:51, 1 December 2024 (UTC) [self-reverted due to another article with the same name in Canada that wasn't mentioned in a hatnote that I was unaware of]
- Reason: Unnecessary parentheses/disambiguator.
February 2025
- Serpentine railway station, Western Australia: nominated at RM/TR; New name: Serpentine railway station 02:44, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: Unnecessary parentheses/disambiguator.
- Ratchaprarop station (Airport Rail Link): nominated at RM/TR; New name: Ratchaprarop station 07:46, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: Unnecessary parentheses/disambiguator + consistency with other entries in Category:Airport Rail Link (Bangkok) stations.
March 2025
- Category:Tropical Cyclones in New South Wales: nominated at CfDS (C2C); New name: Category:Tropical cyclones in New South Wales 06:29, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: Sentence case and consistency with other categories in Category:Tropical cyclones in Australia.
- Footbridge Network in Tsuen Wan: nominated at RM; New name: Footbridges in Tsuen Wan 03:21, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: WP:NCCAPS and WP:CONCISE. Only one government source I can find in English uses the current title/capitalisation , whereas another one uses sentence case: . It does not appear to be a proper/official name. I would also not oppose simply dropping "in" the title, i.e. I would support Tsuen Wan Footbridge Network or Tsuen Wan footbridge network per . However, there doesn't appear to be a consistent/common name for this network including Tsuen Wan footbridges , "footbridge system"/"footbridge network" , etc.
April 2025
- GE Transportation C44ACi: nominated at RM; New name: UGL Rail C44aci 23:32, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: Revert undiscussed move back to stable title since 2009. Already been moved twice to the GE Transportation name without discussion. Usual convention for Australian and North American locomotive articles is to use the name of the original owner or original builder, not its current owner or current builder, as a class of locomotives can be owned by multiple owners or built by multiple builders later on and it gets messy.
- EMD (formerly Downer EDI Rail) GT46C-ACe: nominated at RM; New name: Downer EDI Rail GT46C ACe 23:47, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: Revert undiscussed move, twice having being moved without discussion, and I don't want to get into a move war. Stable title since 2009, and current convention is to use the original owner or original builder in the name, not the current owner(s) or current builder(s). @Malin the railfan: as involved.
May 2025
- Hengqin station (Macau LRT): nominated at RM/TR; New name: Hengqin station (Macau Light Rapid Transit) 01:03, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: Consistency with the main article name Macau Light Rapid Transit and other articles needing disambiguation in Category:Light rail in Macau.
- East line (Macau Light Rapid Transit): nominated at RM
- Hengqin station (Macau LRT): nominated at RM
- Airport station (Macau Light Rapid Transit): nominated at RM
- Ocean station (Macau Light Rapid Transit): nominated at RM
- Stadium station (Macau Light Rapid Transit): nominated at RM 05:29, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: For consistency, the disambiguation for each of these should be the same.I originally put in a technical request (contested permalink) to move Hengqin station (Macau LRT) to Hengqin station (Macau Light Rapid Transit) as to match the main article and the other articles needing disambiguation in Category:Light rail in Macau.Possible alternate disambiguations include MLRT per MOS:ACRODAB or simply Macau per WP:CONCISE, or one of the two forms already being used.
June 2025
- The Complex of Huế Monuments: nominated at RM; New name: Complex of Huế Monuments 08:05, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: The definite article is not capitalised in most sources per WP:THE if not the first word of a sentence, e.g. UNESCO listing/official name, university paper, VietnamPlus news article. Most other sources I could find from Google are travel/tourism blogs or agencies, also not capitalising "the": .
July 2025
- M5 motorway (Sydney): nominated at RM; New name: M5 Motorway (Sydney)
- M6 motorway (Sydney): nominated at RM; New name: M6 Motorway (Sydney)
- M8 motorway (Sydney): nominated at RM; New name: M8 Motorway (Sydney)
- M12 motorway (Sydney): nominated at RM; New name: M12 Motorway (Sydney) 11:47, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: Revert undiscussed moves per the outcome of similar RM for M4 Motorway (Sydney). Also aware of the huge ANI thread and possible ArbCom case regarding the wider topic of capitalisation but that's probably neither here nor there.
August 2025
November 2025
- Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Kironshikder: nominated at MfD 02:09, 14 November 2025 (UTC) [manually nominated as I originally tried to do a multi/group-nomination but couldn't figure out how to]
- Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/kironshikder: nominated at MfD 02:09, 14 November 2025 (UTC) [manually nominated as I originally tried to do a multi/group-nomination but couldn't figure out how to]
- EMD GT46C: nominated at RM; New name: Downer EDI Rail GT46C 20:10, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: Restore stable page title after moving editor was partial blocked from moving pages per WP:ANI#Malin the railfan back again WP:NOTHERE. Usual convention is to use the original builder in Australian and North American locomotive article titles as using anything else introduces inconsistencies and a persistent need to move pages (e.g. if current owner(s) is used instead as this can change anytime).See Talk:UGL Rail C44aci#Requested move 29 April 2025 and Talk:Downer EDI Rail GT46C ACe#Requested move 30 April 2025 for previous similar discussions involving this editor.
- Urbanization in Australia: nominated at RM; New name: Urbanisation in Australia 20:44, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- Reason: Per MOS:TIES, use Australian English.
February 2026
- Seville railway station (Australia): nominated at RM/TR; New name: Seville railway station, Melbourne 23:35, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
- Reason: Comma disambiguation is used for Australian railway station articles and city name more WP:PRECISE than "Australia".
March 2026
- MTR Tuen Ma Line SP1900 EMU: nominated at RM; New name: MTR SP1900 EMU 23:33, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
- Reason: Propose a partial revert of undiscussed move per WP:OVERPRECISION, the previous stable title was SP1900 EMU, however this seems inconsistent with other articles in Category:MTR rolling stock.@TongMK Tony as involved in most recent page move.
