I do not like the copyleft implications of the GFDL and believe simple Public domain licensing to be more free. Any images I upload from now on will bear the GNU General Public License. I would welcome any comments on this on my talk page. I cannot see how GFDL can be seen as more free than a license that has less restrictions. Any interesting arguments will be store here User:GameKeeper/copyright.

You might want to consider whether the GNU General Public License or the Creative_Commons license#Zero, public domain (CC0) license is a better choice. At the very least, you should specify which version; GPLv3 is incompatible with GPLv2. Also, CC0 is generally considered to be better than public domain, because of various legal tricks people have come up with to assert a copyright over an existing public domain work. --Guy Macon (talk) 17:28, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
