"GonzoEcon" is Markus P. A. Schneider, Ph. D., Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Denver.
My primary research interests are the distribution of income and income inequality. Related to how I pursue my primary interests, I am also interested in Bayesian and Maximum Entropy statistical techniques, Information Theory, and Econometric Theory.
At the University of Denver, I teach (among other things) "Intro to micro and macro" (a micro / macro survey course at the introductory level), "Quantitative Methods" (intermediate undergraduate level), "Econometrics" (MA-level), and "Advanced Microeconomic Theory" (MA-level).
From 2021 through 2024, I served as department chair.
