STRT Bar Bahlul

Al-Hassan ibn Bahlul al-Awani al-Tirahani[2], الحسن بن بهلول الطيرهانى[3], was a Nestorian christian who lived in the 10th century C.E. He was born in Awana 60km north to Baghdad. He, later, travelled to Baghdad for learning and then teaching[4][5]. He is best known for being a lexographer. He wrote a multivolume Syriac-Arabic lexicon in Baghdad. Another book he wrote is titled Kitab Al-Dla'il (The Book of Signs).
