Critics have noted his ability to maintain audience control while tackling "minefield topics" that most mainstream Indian comedians avoid.[10]
Madhur Model
The Madhur Model[7] is a popular Indian stand-up comedy concept show created and hosted by comedian Madhur Virli[1]. Inspired by the American show Kill Tony, it serves as a platform to discover new talent while providing a high-energy, roast-style entertainment experience.
The show is a format-based comedy show where aspiring or "open mic" comedians perform a short, 90-second set in front of a live audience. After their performance, they are interviewed and critiqued by Madhur Virli and a rotating guest comedian (often famous names like Aashish Solanki[7], Rajat Sood[11], or Nishant Suri).
In many episodes, Madhur and the guests engage in "betting" on whether the upcoming performer will be good or "bomb" (fail), adding a layer of gamification to the show.[12]
